This is the first spiny golden ant I've seen with a stripe. It's about 10mm long. I couldn't find a nest but there were a few about. This one looks a bit rough with some of the colour missing from the gaster. Bellbird Grove, QLD.

Podomyrma gratiosa climbs about on a tree trunk. I love that you can see my fingers reflected in it's incredibly shiny abdomen. Cambroon, QLD.
